How we calculate
Two sources, kept apart so you can see which is which.
1. The airline's published rules
Every estimate comes from the program's own earning table, typed in once and used everywhere on the site. For SAS that is the zone, fare type and booking class table on flysas.com, last checked 8 October 2026. We re-check rules every week; the site refuses to build if a table hasn't been checked for 180 days.
Where the airline leaves a gap we say so. SAS doesn't publish which airports belong to each zone, so flights involving Finland, Iceland and countries at the edge of Europe show "medium confidence" until a real flight confirms them.
2. Real flights
Travelers add what posted to their account, either one flight at a time or by pasting their points history. Public posts are found by our research agents in forums, trip reports and blogs; each one links to its source.
A traveler's number goes live at once when it is a value the airline's table can produce for that route at that status. Anything else waits for a manual check. We show flights from the last 24 months.
3. When they disagree
If real flights on an exact booking earn a different amount than the table, the result says so and the route goes on our review list. Usually it means the airline changed its rules, and real flights catch that before the airline's website does.
What we never store
Names, member numbers, ticket numbers or exact travel dates. See privacy.
